The Washington State Legislature Funds Programs for people with developmental disabilities.  It is in their power to provide better programs. 

Action for Developmental Disabilities has a presence in Olympia.  We  educate legislators and hold them accountable for those who depend upon them for their quality of life.

SB 6470 Training medical students, nurses, and medical technicians
              and assistants to work with patients with developmental disabilities.
SB 6613 Requiring the department of social and health services to contract with counties to
             provide early intervention services for children with developmental disabilities.
SB 6617 Protecting residents of intermediate care facilities for the mentally retarded.
SB 6448 Providing for intensive behavior support services for children with developmental
             disabilities.
SB 6669 Permitting persons with developmental disabilities to make living decisions
              regarding independent supported living providers.
SB 6736 Establishing a lifelong services program for persons with developmental disabilities.
SB 6776 Modifying state whistleblower protections.
ESHB 1394 Authorizing incentive grants to support medical research and products to improve
             services to persons with developmental disabilities
HB 2794 Promoting accessible communities for persons with disabilities
HB 2863 Providing for intensive behavior support services for children with developmental
             disabilities
HB 2900 Requiring the department of social and health services to contract with counties to
             provide early intervention services for children with developmental disabilities.
HB 3055 Permitting persons with developmental disabilities to make living decisions
              regarding independent supported living providers.
HB 3078 Establishing a lifelong services program for persons with developmental disabilities.
HB 3193 Modifying state whistleblower protections.
